At Corrigan, we believe in doing what’s right for our clients which is the reason why we make corporate relocations as easy as 1, 2, 3.

What to expect when moving for your work?

Corporate benefits come in all shapes and sizes. Your Human Resources will provide you with the specifics of your relocation package and first steps. Depending on your personal level of benefits, you will be directed to a specific service provider, or you may be required to pick a mover on your own. No matter, Corrigan’s skilled team will be with you, guiding you during each phase of the way.

Your Home Survey

The total cost of your relocation will be determined based on the weight of the shipment and total distance, a home survey is necessary to figure out the weight of what is being moved. For the move survey, you will show a moving representative throughout your home and any other buildings, showing what will be included in your move. You can expect to be asked to open doors, cabinets, drawers as well as look under beds for things that may be missed!

*Virtual surveys have vastly become the main form of doing a home survey for our corporate relocation clients. However, in-home surveys with a personal moving representative are still a choice.

Assessing the Estimate & Refining Moving Needs

After completing your move survey, you will be given a moving estimate. Corrigan’s relocation consultant will be able to go over the estimate in detail and provide choices for ensuring you stay within your allowed relocation budget.

Some points to consider when sizing your relocation needs to bring down the cost of your relocation:

  1. You can lower the total cost by packing your own belongings, or, lowering the amount of packing to include just the especially fragile items.
  2. Donating or selling items that you don’t need to save will reduce the weight, extend your moving budget, and eliminate unnecessary things in your new house.
  3. Are your dates flexible? If there is flexibility in your schedule and you can push your dates a little; you might see a reduced cost. Make sure to let your move consultant know if your dates are fixed.

Your move coordinator will help you to establish a customized relocation plan that meets your exact relocation needs and stays within your specified budget. Our knowledge moving corporate transferees gives you access to the industries’ most skilled and seasoned experts equipped with a selection of customizable moving packages.

Your Move

After the specifics are settled and your move is booked, you will be given a personal move coordinator[[. This person will provide help throughout every phase of your move. They will ensure you have the knowledge you need, at the time you need to know it and will continue to be a resource for any questions, obstacles, or revisions you want to see to your move package.

Your move coordinator will be in touch at key events to provide important information about your relocation and keep you informed. Between confirming your move with Corrigan Moving and loading, you will receive information pertaining to:

As your single point of contact, we encourage our corporate transferees to reach out to your move coordinators anytime throughout the entire move process.

Delivery & Settling In

Leading up to your delivery, your move coordinator will be in constant communication, confirming dates, times and letting you know what to expect for delivery. You’ll receive valuable information related to the inventory of goods, your job during the delivery day and more.

After delivery, you’ll be given a follow-up phone call from your move coordinator including a request to answer our post-move survey. And, if needed, your move coordinator will guide you through the initial steps for filing a claim.
